Raycycled is a small business In the Bankstown area of Sydney Australia. We repair and restore so that you can reuse. Ray is a professional Restorer, with over 20 years experiance in the Building Industry and is a qualified Carpenter and Joiner. Yes that is our work truck in the pic below 95% recycled. A founding member of The Bower Reuse Co-Op in Marrickville, Sydney and a long time vintage bike nut. He can repair just about anything and if not will know who can. From sharpening chisels, fixing toasters, furniture restoration and we can also get new handles for all tools and any item we repair will be done better than original so the same problem doesn't happen again. Why?

Lots of reasons really. There's reducing landfill by using old things for longer, hanging on to items that might one day be useful, getting longer useful life out of the same tools and products, helping people buy useful tools at cheap prices. Making repairs to items using parts from broken items to keep costs down and divert both from landfill.

What we aren't

We aren't antique dealers. We don't buy junk cheap and onsell dear to tourists looking for nostalgia. We actually add value to items that comes through the shop. Furniture is reglued and finished where needed, electrical items are tested for safety and we are happy to give advice so you get the best use out of an item.

We don't sell crafty items like spice racks and hand-knitted doilies. There are lots of local and rural cottage industries for that.

Carpentry

Ray is a qualified carpenter and joiner with 20 years experience.Specialising in restoration work and the use of recycled timber and hardware. Anything from laying a reclaimed timer floor to repairing old leadlight windows back to full working order. Email info@raycycled.com for more info and availability.

General Repairs

We can repair just about anything ,broken household appliances , furniture  and undertaken general repairs around the house. Ray has restored every thing from Federation houses, chairs and toasters to Vintage Motor bikes.

Tool Sharpening and Repair

We can sharpen and repair your old tools, knives or any cutting device for you, replace handles, adjust and reset. We test all electrical items for saftey. Email info@raycycled.com or use the site contact form (include a picture if possible) for a quote.
